Dr. Lungren enjoys spending her free time with he family including three boys and her four rescue dogs.

Biography

Dr. Amy Lungren grew up in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. She taught for three years in Plano, TX, before returning to medical school.

She attended UTSW Medical School followed by residency training at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas. Dr. Lungren is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Lungren is currently Vice Chairman of the OB/GYN committee at Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound.

Dr. Lungren cares for women through all stages of life, from teens through childbearing into midlife and menopause. She has a passion for bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) and has spent many years completing advanced BHRT training, including hormone pellet therapy.

Her obstetrical practice includes routine and high-risk pregnancies. She is trained in minimally invasive techniques including the daVinci Surgical System for hysterectomy, tubal ligation, and many major gynecological surgeries. She does in-office procedures for patient convenience, including hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, dilation and curettage and LEEP procedures for cervical dysplasia.

When Dr. Lungren is not working, she can be found cooking, reading, or gardening surrounded by her husband, three boys, and a vast collection of rescue dogs.
